A Little Piece of Heaven

by Sabrina Ruby

Jackie was wonderful! I told her in general what my husband and I wanted on this quilt and she took it and ran with it. I am no good at all the finishing touches and details, and she took the time to make it happen. When I opened the box and saw the wonderful work she had done to it, I was completely overwhelmed with emotion and love. I ran my fingers along the beautifully crafted, quilted butterflies. I could tell that she took the time not only to make it wonderful, but also had a passion as she quilted it for me! Simply Wonderful!

We lost Angie this past year and it tore out our hearts. After we came home I felt the need to do something. My husband and I decided a quilt in loving memory would be wonderful to send. I got together with a friend of mine and we got to work designing, picking up fabric, and spent countless hours on it. It was hard not only because it was a custom pattern, but also hard because of the emotion attached. It was all worth it.
